Josh Le Roux Ready to Make Senior Max Debut
After what feels like an eternity Josh le Roux will finally be back on track this weekend, as he tackles round two and three of the South African Rotax Max championship. The event will take place at Zwartkops Raceway on 19 and 20 September 2020 and will count towards both the National and Northern Regions championships.
Although the high stakes will be high, the format is as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and attempts to allow the 2020 championships to stand.
Championships aside, it will also be a weekend of firsts for Josh. Not only will he be debuting in his brand new RS Kart, but it will also be his first race in Senior Max.
The weekend will serve primarily to keep Josh race fit as he sets his sights on main circuit racing next year. That being said, however, every racing driver goes out to win and Josh won’t be holding back.
He will face some tough opposition in the fourteen kart field, but has been up against many of the drivers before and will have an idea of their racing styles. As always, consistency and staying out of the bumping and barging will be the key to success. Josh is feeling comfortable in his new kart and is confident of a good set of results.
