JOSH LE ROUX FACES SEASON FINALE

The final round of the 2021 Investchem Formula 1600 championship will take place at Zwartkops Raceway on Saturday 23 October and Josh le Roux is ready to do what needs to be done in order to secure third in the points standings.

Josh has had an impressive debut season, earning four podium finishes during the year. His results have put him third in the championship standings, but the position is far from decided, with six drivers all vying for the podium.

Whilst the first two championship positions have already been decided, only 14 points separate third and eighth, with 22 points up for grabs this weekend.

“It is definitely going to be an exciting weekend and I am going all out to take that number three spot. More than that, it would be fantastic to end the year with a race win! I had a really good outing at Zwartkops in April, taking a second and third place in the two races respectively. I would be thrilled to repeat or better this performance,” exclaimed Josh.

“Although my primary focus is on doing well this weekend, I think consistency is key in a championship and I want to give my sincere congratulations to Andrew Rackstraw on taking the 2021 title and to Jarrod Waberski on claiming second place.”
