TIME TO CONQUER ALDO SCRIBANTE

Josh le Roux is off to Gqeberha for Round 3 of the 2022 Investchem Formula 1600 Championship, which is taking place on Saturday 28 May.

Whilst Josh will be feeling confident about his current pace and will still be on a high following his race win at Zwartkops, he is well aware of quickly a driver can go from hero to zero around the Aldo Scribante circuit.

Josh has yielded some fantastic results over the last year, conquering all of South Africa’s major race tracks, with the exception of Aldo Scribante and he will be looking to set the record straight this weekend.

“A small mistake during race two at Aldo last year, saw me drop from third to last and this weighs heavily on my mind going into the weekend. I am however far more confident in the car and in knowing the limits, having survived my rookie season in 2021. I am out to conquer the 2.48km piece of tarmac this weekend,” explained Josh.

Josh is currently in second place in the championship standings, with a six point deficit to make up.

“It is a case of ‘eyes on the prize’, but I need to take it one race at a time and just do my very best. I have amazing support behind me and am grateful for every opportunity to be on track,” expressed the Sparco ambassador.

Spectators will be welcome on Saturday and Aldo Scribante historically has one of the best crowds of motorsport enthusiasts in the country. For those unable to attend the event, racing will be streamed on the Extreme Festival YouTube Channel and Facebook Page.
