JOSH LE ROUX JETS OFF TO THE UK

Josh Le Roux is jetting off to the UK this week to make his International single-seater debut. The current South African Investchem Formula 1600 Championship leader will be competing in the British Avon Tyres National Formula Ford Championship this weekend (17 June – 19 June 2022).

Rounds 8, 9 and 10 of the championship will be taking place at the 2.10 mile Anglesey Circuit, which is situated on the coast of North Wales. The British Formula Ford Championship has been nurturing young driving talent for over 50 years and continues to act as a motorsport career stepping stone.

The lack of aerodynamic aids means drivers learn how to set up and drive a race car purely on mechanical grip, teaching them valuable lessons that will stay with them for the rest of their racing careers.

“I am exceptionally excited about this opportunity, especially after my International plans were put on hold for the last two years due to the Covid pandemic. Perhaps everything happens for a reason, because I really feel that I am in top form at the moment and ready for the challenge,” commented Josh.

Although Josh is not part of the championship battle, he will be going all out to show that he has what it takes to race on the International stage.

“I have never raced at Anglesey before and although I got to test in a Formula Ford, racing will be a completely different experience. I am not going out there to disrupt the championship, but I will be giving my all,” he confirmed.

“Thank you to my team, sponsors and especially my parents for making this possible. I am truly grateful and humbled by the support I am receiving,” Josh concluded.

Josh is proudly sponsored by: New Heights, RDSA, Investchem, Master Stairs & Sparco.
